1、 Overview of waterproof backing board

1. Base material

Antibacterial agent: prevents microbial growth, especially for backing plates used in humid environments. Silver ions and quaternary ammonium salt compounds are commonly used antibacterial ingredients.


3、 Production process of waterproof backing board


The production process of waterproof backing board has a significant impact on its performance, mainly including:


Mixing process: Mix various components in precise proportions to ensure consistency in material properties. This process is usually carried out in high-speed mixers, and temperature control is crucial.


Extrusion process: Most polymer based waterproof backing boards are formed by extrusion molding. After the material is melted and mixed in the extruder, it is formed into a sheet through a mold, and then rolled or cooled to shape.


Rolling process: Used to produce uniformly thick sheets, the material is rolled to the desired thickness through a series of heated rollers.
